Job Title: Virtual K-12 Teacher of the Visually Impaired, New Mexico
Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced School Teacher of the Visually Impaired to provide comprehensive educational support to students with visual impairments in a fully remote setting. As a Remote TVI, you will collaborate with students, families, and other members of the educational team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), facilitate virtual instruction, and provide ongoing support to ensure academic success.

As a Remote TVI, you will collaborate with students, families, and other members of the educational team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), facilitate virtual instruction, and provide ongoing support to ensure academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student with visual impairments.
- Provide virtual instruction and support in core academic subjects, including Braille literacy, orientation and mobility, adaptive technology, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with students, families, and other educational professionals to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods and assistive technologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and inform instructional decision-making.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or related field.
- Valid state certification/licensure in New Mexico as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Previous experience working with students with visual impairments in a school or educational setting.
- Proficiency in Braille literacy and knowledge of adaptive technology tools for individuals with visual impairments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
