Position: Virtual School Special Education Teacher
Location: Maryland (Fully Virtual)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, tailoring instruction to their unique learning styles and abilities.
• Provide virtual instruction through live video sessions, pre-recorded lessons, and interactive assignments.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other members of the educational team to address individual student needs and progress.
• Participate in virtual meetings, professional development opportunities, and workshops to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in virtual special education.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and other relevant data.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Maryland Special Education teaching certification.
• Previous experience in special education.
• Strong understanding of IEP development, accommodations, and modifications.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Technologically proficient and comfortable using virtual teaching platforms and tools.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
