Location: Remote (Alaska)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to join our team. In this role, you will facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers, peers, and staff in various school settings. Your expertise will help create an inclusive learning environment that promotes academic success and social interaction.

Qualifications

Certification in American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting (RID, NAD, or equivalent)
Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
Familiarity with IEPs and educational terminology is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment
Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere

VocoVision Requirements

Applicants should be comfortable working as an Independent Contractor
Candidates will be required to pass a tech screening that ensures sufficient Wi-Fi, download speeds, and Zoom capabilities
