Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Remote Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and possess the ability to create engaging and effective remote learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized and group lesson plans tailored to students’ needs.
- Use a variety of instructional techniques and technology to accommodate different learning styles.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to create and implement personalized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to students, parents, and school administrators.
- Stay current with best practices and new developments in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification or licensure in Deaf Education or related area.
- Proven experience teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other relevant communication methods.
- Strong understanding of remote teaching tools and platforms.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
