Virtual Special Education Teacher

Location: Remote (Vermont)
Job Type: Full-time Contract – work from home
Pay: $38/Hour

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement IEPs: Collaborate with parents, administrators, and other educators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
Deliver Instruction: Provide direct instruction and academic support through virtual platforms, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to ensure academic growth.
Communication: Maintain consistent communication with parents, guardians, and school personnel to discuss student progress, challenges, and strategies for success.
Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and other professionals to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to special education, including timely completion of required documentation and participation in IEP meetings.
Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in special education and virtual instruction by participating in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Certification: Valid Vermont Special Education Teaching License or eligibility to obtain one.
Experience: Previous experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a virtual or remote setting.
