Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) – Georgia

Position: Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Location: Remote (Must be licensed in Georgia)
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Grade Levels: K-12
Start Date: Immediate Opening

Responsibilities:

• Provide virtual instruction and support to students with visual impairments in a K-12 setting
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs
• Adapt and modify instructional materials to ensure accessibility
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success
• Teach students how to use assistive technology and adaptive tools for learning
• Conduct virtual assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or related field
• Georgia teaching license with a Visually Impaired endorsement
• Previous experience in a virtual teaching environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of assistive technology and accessibility tools
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with braille and other tactile learning methods is a plus
