Virtual Teacher for the Visually Impaired- North Carolina

Hey there! We’re looking for a passionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team and work with us remotely using VocoVision.

If you’re great at helping students with visual impairments succeed and enjoy working from home, this might be the perfect gig for you!

What You’ll Do:

• Teach and support students with visual impairments, making sure they can access and enjoy their education.
• Create and manage personalized learning plans for each student.
• Use VocoVision to deliver lessons and interact with students online.
• Modify and create learning materials to fit the needs of your students.
• Assess students' needs and track their progress.
• Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support each student's journey.
• Keep everything organized and up-to-date.

What We’re Looking For:

• A degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or something similar.
• A valid North Carolina teaching license with a visual impairments endorsement.
• Experience with VocoVision is a plus, but if you’re willing to learn, that’s great too!
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• A real passion for helping students with visual impairments achieve their best.

Bonus Points For:

• Previous experience teaching visually impaired students online.
• Knowing your way around assistive tech and accessible tools.
• Extra certifications or training related to visual impairments.
