VocoVision is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our network in Washington. As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will deliver teletherapy services to K-12 students across various school districts in Washington. Our team is committed to supporting you throughout the hiring process and beyond, ensuring you find fulfillment in your role.
Job Details:
- Start Date: Immediate
- Schedule: Part-Time under 20 hours
- Caseload: K-12 students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide teletherapy services to K-12 students who are blind, have low vision, or experience other visual impairments.
- Teach core curriculum subjects, braille skills, and independent living strategies.
- Collaborate with students, families, and educational staff to create individualized learning plans.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students.
- State of Washington Teaching Certification in Visual Education is required.
- Previous virtual teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Requirements:
- Must have your own liability insurance and be comfortable working as an independent contractor.
- Access to a home computer with high-speed internet.
- Completion of a basic technology screening.
