VocoVision is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our network in Washington. This fully remote position offers the flexibility of working from home while providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students' lives. As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will deliver teletherapy services to K-12 students across various school districts in Washington. Our team is committed to supporting you throughout the hiring process and beyond, ensuring you find fulfillment in your role.

Job Details:

Start Date: Immediate
Schedule: Part-Time under 20 hours
Caseload: K-12 students

Key Responsibilities:

Provide teletherapy services to K-12 students who are blind, have low vision, or experience other visual impairments.
Teach core curriculum subjects, braille skills, and independent living strategies.
Collaborate with students, families, and educational staff to create individualized learning plans.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students.
State of Washington Teaching Certification in Visual Education is required.
Previous virtual teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Requirements:

Must have your own liability insurance and be comfortable working as an independent contractor.
Access to a home computer with high-speed internet.
Completion of a basic technology screening.
