Position Overview:

Part-time (1-3 hours per week)
Immediate start

Key Responsibilities:

Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students using remote, adaptive teaching strategies.
Provide instruction in orientation, mobility, and other adaptive skills through online platforms.
Collaborate with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s vision-related needs.
Stay informed about assistive technologies and integrate them into online lessons.
Cultivate an inclusive and supportive virtual learning environment for students with visual impairments.

Required Qualifications:

Experience working with visually impaired students
Valid Alabama teaching certification
Strong understanding of visual impairments and their impact on learning
Proficiency in Zoom and other relevant technologies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
