Position Details:

Full-Time
Immediate Start
Caseload: 5 students

Responsibilities:

Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students using remote, adaptive teaching strategies.
Deliver virtual instruction in orientation and mobility, as well as other essential adaptive skills.
Work closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals to meet each student's vision-related needs.
Stay current on assistive technologies and integrate them into remote lessons.
Create an inclusive, supportive online learning environment for students with visual impairments.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Kentucky
In-depth knowledge of visual impairments and their impact on learning
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching students with visual impairments
Proficient in Zoom and other digital platforms
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
