North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) - Virtual Services
A school district in North Carolina has requested the aid of VocoVision to find a Speech-Language Pathologist able to fill their need for this school year. The school would like to interview and hire a passionate and qualified SLP as quickly as possible. Therapists will work remotely from home and use an online platform to perform the same responsibilities they would onsite.
We connect schools with the highly qualified tele-practitioners like yourself. Our platform allows you to effectively treat, teach, assess, and encourage a single student, or an entire caseload. The flexibility of our platform allows seamless collaboration and servicing with other teachers and students at the school. You will have opportunities to work on a full-year, or short-term basis.
- Full-Time: 37.5 hours/week

- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- North Carolina SLP License
- At least 2 years of school-based experience
Job Type/ Responsibilities:
- Hourly rate
- Weekly pay
- Assist in the early recognition and prevention of educational problems.
- Monitor student progress and make informed, timely educational decisions.
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings and diagnostic evaluations to determine the need for clinical services.
- Participate as a team member in the comprehensive evaluation, review, and reevaluation process.
- Participate in the development of student IEP's.
- Adhere to required program guidelines as defined by the Kansas Plan for Special Education.
- Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and others concerning the needs of students and special services that are available.
- Assist teachers in the development and implementation of curriculum modifications and appropriate classroom strategies.
- Refer students and their families to appropriate community agencies and services.
- Cooperate with agencies serving students and their families.
- Provide therapy, follow-up, and/or consultation based on student IEP's.
- Motivate students through effective communication and evaluative feedback.
- Demonstrate awareness of the needs of students and provide for individual differences.
- Set high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with others.
- Establish and maintain a positive climate for learning through appropriate classroom management.
- Design and provide skilled intervention to address deficits in the areas of speech sound, fluency, voice or language that negatively impact the student’s ability to participate in the classroom environment.
- Collaborate with general education teachers regarding the effective implementation of IEP strategies, including reviewing lesson plans and co-teaching lessons.
- Consult with school-based and special education staff to facilitate integration of speech-language goals, strategies and interventions into the classroom, home, and community.
- Provide training to implement IEP strategies and assist teachers to make appropriate instructional modifications.
