A paraprofessional position is available to support a high-needs student at the post-secondary transition level within a school setting. This role involves providing one-on-one assistance to help the student achieve educational goals and participate fully in their classroom environment. The position operates under a contract schedule, with hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to a high-needs student throughout the school day.
• Ride the bus with the student to ensure safety and assist with transitions.
• Collaborate closely with a paraprofessional team member and a special education teacher in a classroom setting.
• Assist with academic tasks, behavior management, and daily living skills as needed.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment tailored to the student's needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with special education students, preferably in a one-on-one support role.
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators and support staff.
• Patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
• Understanding of behavioral strategies and individualized educational plans (IEPs).
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site if needed for bus riding.
