Virtual Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) | Ohio

An opportunity is available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher specializing in telehealth services during the 2025-2026 school year. This role involves delivering adaptive physical education support through virtual platforms, ensuring students with diverse needs receive appropriate physical education instruction and interventions.

Location: Newark, Ohio (Remote telehealth services)

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing individualized adaptive physical education plans tailored to student needs.
• Providing telehealth sessions focusing on physical activities that enhance mobility, coordination, and overall physical health.
• Collaborating with school personnel to assess student progress and modify plans as necessary.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with educational standards and licensing requirements.
• Engaging students in interactive and motivating physical activities to promote participation and well-being.

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Active Adaptive Physical Education license.
• Experience delivering physical education services via telehealth platforms preferred.
• Strong knowledge of adaptive physical education methodologies and student-centered interventions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, suitable for virtual instruction.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during per diem assignments.

Position details:

• Contract role for the 2025-2026 school year.
• Per diem schedule, providing services for 4 hours per week via telehealth (VOCO only).
