Virtual Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) | California

A position is available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher specializing in telehealth services. This role focuses on delivering tailored physical education programs to students with diverse abilities through virtual platforms. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized adaptive physical education plans that meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
• Conduct virtual sessions using telehealth technologies to engage and support students remotely
• Assess student progress and adjust programming accordingly to ensure developmental growth and engagement
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, therapists, and families, to align goals and strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, outcomes, and communications in compliance with educational regulations and standards
• Provide guidance and support to students on safe physical activity practices within their home environments

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Adaptive Physical Education teaching credentials or certification
• Experience delivering physical education or therapy services via telehealth platforms
• Strong understanding of physical education for students with disabilities and individualized education program (IEP) frameworks
• Excellent communication and organizational skills suitable for remote instruction
