Virtual Adaptive PE Teacher in MD

A contract position is available for an Adaptive Physical Education (PE) Teacher providing telehealth services to elementary students in Owings Mills, MD. The role involves delivering individualized and group PE sessions focused on children diagnosed on the autism spectrum, specifically those with moderate to severe disabilities. This opportunity is designed for educators skilled in adapting physical education curricula to meet diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group adaptive PE sessions via telehealth for K-5 students.
• Develop and implement adaptive physical education plans tailored to the unique requirements of students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust programming as necessary.
• Collaborate with relevant educational and therapeutic professionals to support student development.

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure in Physical Education or Adaptive Physical Education.
• Experience working with children on the autism spectrum, particularly in moderate to severe cases.
• Strong knowledge of telehealth delivery methods for adapted physical education.
• Ability to engage young learners in virtual settings while ensuring safety and participation.
