This position seeks a skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide critical behavioral services in a school setting located in Sanger, CA. The role operates on a contract-to-hire basis and primarily offers virtual service delivery, requiring approximately 4 to 6 hours per month. The start date is contingent upon the finalization of a settlement agreement and approval of BCBA services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a comprehensive, legally defensible Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) for a complex student case involving potential litigation and due process concerns.
  • Develop an individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) based on FBA findings, including assessment of the need for 1:1 behavioral support by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
  • Provide expert consultation to district staff to support the implementation of the behavior plan, advise on behavioral strategies, and assist with ongoing progress monitoring.
  • Review existing behavioral data and documentation to assist with programming recommendations for a student presenting multiple eligibility categories and complex behaviors.
  • Facilitate the development of a clear behavior plan to safely reintegrate the student into services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential with demonstrable school-based experience.
  • Proven expertise in managing due process or litigation-related behavioral cases.
  • Comfortable and experienced in delivering virtual FBAs.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educational district teams.
  • Familiarity with high-complexity behavior cases involving homebound students is a plus.
