School Counselor in Moses Lake, WA

An immediate opportunity is available for a dedicated school counselor to support K-5 students in a positive, nurturing environment located in Moses Lake, WA. This contract position is vital to assist with student behavior management and provide focused counseling support within a single school building.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver behavior support interventions tailored to individual student needs.
• Facilitate lower-level counseling sessions, including small group social skills development.
• Conduct evaluations and assessments as required, primarily onsite.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student well-being.
• Maintain consistent presence during school hours, up to 7 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

• Experience working as a school counselor, preferably supporting elementary-aged students.
• Strong skills in behavioral intervention and counseling techniques.
• Ability to conduct evaluations and support diverse student needs.
• Willingness to work primarily onsite to maintain direct engagement with students.
• Flexibility and responsiveness to meet the needs of a school community that has been without a counselor since January.

Contract Details:

• Immediate start date, continuing through June 12, 2026.
• Full-time engagement, Monday through Friday.
• Work onsite within one school building serving K-5 grades.
• Candidates open to virtual or hybrid models may be considered, but on-site presence is preferred.
