Virtual General Education Teacher | District of Columbia

Engage students in K-12 education through specialized instruction in Chess, Robotics, and Coding in an after-school setting. This part-time contract opportunity offers 5-10 hours weekly, with sessions typically scheduled between 3 PM and 6 PM. Flexible scheduling allows for sessions from 3-4 PM, 4-5 PM, or 5-6 PM, accommodating personal availability.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering structured lessons in Chess, Robotics, and Coding to K-12 students.
• Adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity through interactive activities.
• Commuting to various locations across Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia to serve multiple campuses (approximately 10 potential sites).

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching or coaching Chess, Robotics, or Coding to students in grades K-12.
• Familiarity with general education and telehealth instructional methods is beneficial.
• Flexibility to travel to different campuses within the tri-state area.
• Strong communication skills to engage students virtually or in-person.
• Ability to commit to a part-time schedule after school hours.
