Remote Occupational Therapy in MI
An opportunity is available for a skilled occupational therapist specializing in telehealth and school-based therapy to provide services at multiple educational sites in Lansing, MI. This contract position involves working with diverse student populations across several school levels, ensuring the delivery of therapeutic support that enhances student participation and success.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting occupational therapy evaluations and interventions via telehealth and in-person within school settings.
- Collaborating with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Supporting approximately 32 students across various age groups, from lower elementary through high school.
- Managing caseloads efficiently to provide 20-25 hours of service per week, spread over three days.
- Starting as soon as possible, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and professional practices.
Preferred qualifications:
- Valid occupational therapy license with experience in school-based settings.
- Proven ability to deliver telehealth occupational therapy services effectively.
- Strong communication skills with students, teachers, and families.
- Experience working with diverse student populations in an educational environment.
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule and adapt to the needs of multiple school locations.
