Online Reading Specialist - New Hampshire

A contract position is available for an experienced Reading Specialist or Special Educator to provide focused 1:1 literacy instruction, with opportunities for math instruction, tailored to support a student performing below grade level. The role primarily involves working with a fourth-grade student currently performing at approximately a first-grade level, offering targeted skill-building to promote academic growth.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized literacy instruction 4 to 5 times per week in 30-minute sessions.
• Provide 1:1 math instruction 4 times per week in 30-minute sessions.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of a student with learning delays.
• Maintain detailed progress notes and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Flexibility to conduct sessions in person (preferred) or virtually when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Reading Specialist or Special Educator.
• Experience delivering individualized literacy and math instruction to elementary students.
• Strong understanding of instructional methods appropriate for students performing below grade level.
• Ability to engage young learners in a focused and supportive manner.
• Comfort with telehealth platforms for virtual instructional delivery.

Location: Nashua, NH, with potential for virtual sessions as needed.
