About the Role:
VocoVision is looking for a skilled and compassionate Sign Language Interpreter to join our dynamic virtual team. This position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while making a meaningful difference in the lives of deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

There are both full time and part time opportunities!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time sign language interpretation for classroom lectures, discussions, and other educational activities, ensuring students have equal access to learning.

• Interpret student questions and comments during lessons, facilitating communication between the students and instructors.

• Support students in extracurricular activities, lunch periods, and social interactions to foster an inclusive environment.

• Assist in parent-teacher conferences, school assemblies, and other events, helping bridge communication between deaf students, their families, and staff.

• Collaborate with educators and school staff to ensure students receive the accommodations and support they need to succeed.

Qualifications:

• Certification: American Sign Language English Interpretation (ASLEI) accreditation is required.

• EIPA Requirements: 3.5

• Preferred: Written EIPA certification.
