A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a high school student with cognitive and vision impairments. This full-time contract position offers consistent hours from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, providing vital communication assistance in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective communication between the student and their teachers, peers, and support staff using sign language.
• Adapt interpreting methods to accommodate the students cognitive and vision needs.
• Collaborate with educators and support teams to promote an inclusive learning environment.
• Attend scheduled classes and activities, ensuring the student has full access to instruction and interaction.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Sign Language interpreting, particularly in educational contexts.
• Experience working with students who have cognitive and vision impairments is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work full-time during school hours, from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM.
