About VocoVision:
VocoVision is seeking a dedicated and skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Specialist to support K-12 students in Frankfort, Kentucky, through remote services. This role allows you to provide essential instruction in ASL and communication strategies to ensure Deaf and Hard of Hearing students succeed academically and socially, all from the comfort of your home.

What Youll Do:

• Provide virtual ASL instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students using effective communication strategies and techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs and learning goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Attend IEP meetings to ensure that Deaf and Hard of Hearing students receive appropriate services and accommodations.
• Support general education teachers by providing strategies for integrating Deaf and Hard of Hearing students into their classrooms.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with Kentuckys special education guidelines.

What You Need:

• Valid Kentucky certification for American Sign Language Specialist.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education with a focus on Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
• At least two years of experience teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students (teletherapy experience preferred).
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of assistive technology for DHH students.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for remote work.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional, quiet workspace.
