Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in a virtualcapacity. This role offers the opportunity to work flexibly from home while making a significant impacton the lives of your clients.

Responsibilities:

Translate lectures, discussions, and other classroom activities into sign language for deaf students. Interpret questions and comments from students back to the teacher.
Ensure that deaf students have equal access to educational materials, including textbooks, videos, and presentations by providing sign language interpretation.
Facilitate communication between students and their peers during group activities, lunchtime, and extracurricular events, promoting inclusivity and social integration.
Assist in parent-teacher conferences, school assemblies, and other school-related events to ensure deaf students and their families can participate fully.
Advocate for the needs of deaf students within the school environment, collaborating with teachers and administrators to implement accommodations and support services.

Qualifications:

The American Sign Language English Interpretation (ASLEI) accreditation
3.5 EIPA Score
Passed written EIPA preferred
