Remote Educational Sign Language Interpreter | Idaho

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school setting. This role is based in Iona, ID, and requires expertise in facilitating communication for individuals who use American Sign Language (ASL) in virtual and in-person educational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and clear interpretation of spoken communication into ASL and vice versa during telehealth sessions and school-related activities.
• Facilitate effective communication between students, educators, healthcare providers, and other staff.
• Adapt interpreting strategies to suit various individual needs and settings within the school and telehealth platforms.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards in all interactions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language with demonstrated interpreting skills.
• Experience working as a sign language interpreter in educational or healthcare telehealth settings preferred.
