Speech Language Pathologist in Chico, CA
A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification to serve middle school students with moderate to severe disabilities. This part-time caseload role offers full-time hours due to compensatory service requirements. The position is located in Chico, CA, providing services across two nearby school sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to middle school students with moderate to severe impairments.
- Manage individualized caseload effectively, ensuring progress in communication goals.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student outcomes.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to support student success.
- Provide compensatory services as mandated to meet student needs.
- Maintain compliance with district and state guidelines for special education services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, valid Speech-Language Pathologist license and Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with moderate to severe populations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in person across two nearby school sites.
- Flexibility to maintain a part-time caseload with full-time compensation due to service needs.
