School Speech and Language Pathologist | Gillette, Wyoming
This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within an early childhood educational setting. Serving students aged 5 to 21, the role supports a diverse group including verbal and nonverbal children, as well as a student who is deaf and requires signing communication.
Responsibilities include delivering approximately 20 hours per week of direct speech therapy services, with a total commitment of around 30 contracted hours weekly. The speech-language pathologist will collaborate with paraprofessionals to facilitate effective communication and learning. Active participation in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is essential, including attending IEP meetings to advocate for each student's speech and language needs.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Credentialed with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working within school or educational environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with students using various modalities including sign language
- Skilled in contributing to and implementing IEP goals
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including paraprofessionals
