A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a school setting located in Lancaster, NY. This contract role offers the opportunity to work directly with students, providing essential speech and language support to enhance their communication skills and academic success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in a school environment
- Strong knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders
- Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and educational staff
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to diagnose communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students
- Monitor and document student progress regularly
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations regarding speech therapy services in schools
