Virtual Speech Language Pathologist in Texas
VocoVision is currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a work from home job with a school district in Texas.Teletherapy has become increasingly common in school settings. This provides several advantages to both students in areas unable to be staffed by on-site therapists, as well as therapists in need of a more flexible schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support diverse learners through initial evaluations, diagnosis, and treat students with varying degrees of speech impairments in a remote capacity.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify and provide diagnostic recommendations for students who require special education interventions within a time-sensitive period.
- Work closely with the Special Education Coordinator in the identification of proposed IEP goals and treatment plans for each student.
- Serve as the resident expert to school staff members regarding the development of a balanced program for oral communication, speech, language, and literacy development.
- Collect and analyze data related to school improvement, student outcomes, and accountability requirements
- Support teachers and families in identifying ways to differentiate instruction to provide increased opportunities for student engagement
- Experience providing direct therapy in a remote setting encouraged but not necessary.
- We have a clinical team for support and to provide training.
- Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation
- Proficient in troubleshooting common software and hardware challenges in relation to the regular use of speech pathology tools
- Commitment to supporting and empowering students with diverse backgrounds, including an understanding of at-risk children, gifted children, and children with disabilities.
- Possess effective decision-making, managerial, communication, and organizational skills.
- Accountability and attention to detail is essential when handling and documenting important medical information
- 2-3 years in a school setting
- Articulation, Recessive, Expressive speech therapy experience in a remote setting is a plus.
- Tele-therapy experience a plus
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Licensed SLP in Texas
- Candidate must have active license in the state where they reside, and the state in which the school district is located
