Remote Speech-Language Teletherapist Minnesota (School-Based)
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed and dedicated Remote Speech-Language Teletherapist to provide virtual speech and language therapy services to K12 students across Minnesota schools. This remote position involves delivering individualized teletherapy sessions, collaborating with educators and families, and supporting students communication skills to help them succeed academically and socially.
The ideal candidate will have experience in telepractice, be knowledgeable about Minnesotas education requirements, and be passionate about fostering inclusive learning environments through virtual services.
Responsibilities

Deliver speech and language therapy sessions via teletherapy platforms to students with speech, language, and communication needs.

Conduct virtual assessments and screenings to identify student needs and monitor progress.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.

Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to support student communication across settings.

Document therapy sessions, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports in compliance with Minnesota Department of Education guidelines.

Participate in IEP meetings to provide input on student progress and therapy recommendations.

Use evidence-based teletherapy techniques and tools to engage students effectively in a virtual environment.

Stay current on best practices, regulations, and technologies related to telepractice and school-based speech therapy.
Qualifications
Licensure & Education

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Valid Minnesota State License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.

Knowledge of Minnesota Department of Education special education regulations and telepractice standards.
Experience & Skills

Experience delivering speech-language services to school-aged children.

Prior teletherapy experience preferred, with proficiency in virtual platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or specialized therapy software.

Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff remotely.

Ability to engage students virtually and adapt therapy techniques to meet individual needs.
Preferred Skills & Attributes

Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or other languages) are a plus.

Familiarity with assistive technology and augmentative communication devices.

Experience working with diverse student populations.
