Telehealth Speech Therapy - MI
Providing speech-language services via teletherapy to a PreK through 12th-grade population offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to child development in a school setting. This contract position focuses on delivering specialized communication support to mainly elementary students, with some younger PreK children benefiting from walk-in style sessions and child-find testing.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech-language evaluations and therapy sessions using telepractice methods.
- Supporting a diverse caseload primarily consisting of elementary students.
- Working with PreK children in a walk-in style format and administering child-find assessments.
- Addressing communication needs for students with autism and non-verbal abilities.
- Collaborating with school staff to implement effective intervention strategies aligned with student goals.
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience providing teletherapy services in educational settings.
- Familiarity with speech-language assessment and treatment protocols for PreK through high school students.
- Ability to engage and adapt therapy approaches for children with autism and non-verbal communication challenges.
- Understanding of child-find procedures and walk-in service delivery models.
This role excludes work with AAC or moderate to severe disability caseloads, focusing instead on developing foundational communication skills within a primarily elementary age group.
