Virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - MI

A virtual speech-language pathologist (SLP) role offers the opportunity to provide teletherapy services within a diverse K-12 educational setting located in Detroit, MI. This contract position requires 20 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours, starting immediately and continuing through June 11, 2027.

Responsibilities include delivering speech-language therapy to a student body from various backgrounds, including many first-year English Language Learners (ELLs) from Middle Eastern descent, speaking multiple dialects of Arabic. Candidates will work virtually using dedicated spaces and equipment, supported by onsite staff who assist by pulling students and monitoring sessions. Collaboration with school personnel will be essential to develop individualized schedules aligned with student needs.

The following qualifications and experience are desired:

• Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Experience with telespeech or teletherapy services in school settings
• Familiarity or willingness to learn PowerSchools or similar IEP management systems
• Flexibility to work with the full K-12 range or a specific preferred age group
• Sensitivity and adaptability to support students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
