K-5 Grades 6 - 8 Telehealth Speech Language Pathologist | Louisiana
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in telespeech services for grades K-8. This role supports students in delivering targeted speech therapy through virtual platforms, ensuring continuity of care and progress in communication skills for both early elementary and middle school students.
Location: Gonzales, LA
Contract Duration: Remainder of the academic school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective telespeech therapy services to students in grades K-5 and 6-8, addressing a variety of speech and language needs.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate pull-out sessions for students identified with speech challenges.
- Utilize a dedicated facilitator to assist in coordinating student participation in scheduled speech sessions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy goals, progress notes, and communication with families.
- Adapt therapy techniques to virtual modalities while maintaining student engagement and progress tracking.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience in telespeech delivery.
- Working knowledge of speech therapy assessments and interventions appropriate for elementary and middle school students.
- Ability to effectively manage remote speech therapy sessions and use telepractice technologies.
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and school staff.
- Experience in pull-out therapy models preferred.
