Grades 6 - 8 K-5 Teletherapy Speech Therapy in School Setting - Louisiana
A contract opportunity is available providing telespeech services for students in grades K-8 within a school setting. This role focuses on delivering speech-language pathology support remotely and requires facilitating direct communication with students across two grade bands: K-5 and 6-8.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech-language therapy sessions via telepractice platforms in alignment with individualized education plans.
- Collaborating with a dedicated facilitator who will assist by pulling students for therapy sessions.
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining thorough documentation and reports.
- Adapting intervention strategies to meet the unique needs of elementary and middle school students.
- Participating in virtual meetings with educators, parents, and service providers to coordinate comprehensive care.
Qualifications and experience preferred:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license or certification.
- Experience providing telespeech services in educational environments.
- Familiarity with speech therapy approaches appropriate for children in grades K-8.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage students remotely.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with onsite staff.
This assignment is a contract role covering the remainder of the current school year, offering the opportunity to support student speech development within a structured school framework. Services are delivered remotely with onsite facilitator assistance for student sessions.
