A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) is required to provide school-based services in Joliet, IL, supporting students from early childhood through middle school in an itinerant role spanning two sites. This position covers a workload of approximately 40 students and offers an opportunity to deliver therapeutic interventions within a structured school environment focused on pediatric speech-language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students ranging from age 2 to 7th grade
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff and families
  • Perform all standard responsibilities typical of school-based SLP roles

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license accompanied by Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Experience in school-based pediatric speech-language pathology, ideally including itinerant service delivery
  • Familiarity with caseload management and IEP development
  • Fingerprinting clearance prior to employment commencement

Position Details:

  • Location: Joliet, Illinois
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • End Date: June 30, 2026
  • Weekly Hours: 35, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Travel between two sites: elementary (K6th grade) and middle/early childhood (7th grade to age 2)
  • One full-time opening available
  • No roles for clinical fellows (CF), speech-language pathology assistants (SLPA), or support staff included
