A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) is required to provide school-based services in Joliet, IL, supporting students from early childhood through middle school in an itinerant role spanning two sites. This position covers a workload of approximately 40 students and offers an opportunity to deliver therapeutic interventions within a structured school environment focused on pediatric speech-language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students ranging from age 2 to 7th grade
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student
Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff and families
Perform all standard responsibilities typical of school-based SLP roles

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license accompanied by Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
Experience in school-based pediatric speech-language pathology, ideally including itinerant service delivery
Familiarity with caseload management and IEP development
Fingerprinting clearance prior to employment commencement

Position Details:

Location: Joliet, Illinois
Start Date: Immediate
End Date: June 30, 2026
Weekly Hours: 35, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Travel between two sites: elementary (K6th grade) and middle/early childhood (7th grade to age 2)
One full-time opening available
No roles for clinical fellows (CF), speech-language pathology assistants (SLPA), or support staff included
