Virtual SLP in IL
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist with expertise in teletherapy and school-based practice. This contract position serves a special education cooperative in Morris, IL, supporting students from multiple elementary schools including Walnut Trails Elementary, Minooka Primary Center, and Minooka Elementary.
Responsibilities include providing virtual speech-language services to a caseload of approximately 15 students, including those in self-contained autism classrooms. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, delivering individualized therapy sessions, and participating in IEP meetings to ensure compliance and educational progress. Collaborating closely with a clinical and technology support team is part of maintaining effective service delivery.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Prior experience working in school settings with teletherapy services
- Ability to manage a school-based caseload and complete compensatory service hours
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and IEP processes
- Skills in virtual therapy platforms and technology troubleshooting
This position is offered on a full-time or part-time basis from ASAP through May 2026. Weekly service delivery is expected, with support provided to optimize clinical outcomes and streamline teletherapy sessions.
