Remote School Speech Therapy - Connecticut
This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver specialized speech-language pathology services within an educational setting. The role focuses on providing both direct and consultative speech therapy aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for middle school students in grades 5 and 6.
Responsibilities include conducting initial and re-evaluations covering communication, articulation, and pragmatic language. The caseload will consist of approximately 35-40 students with diverse needs, including autism, learning disabilities, specific learning disabilities such as dyslexia, Other Health Impairments (including ADD/ADHD), multiple disabilities, speech-language impairments, and emotional disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience delivering teletherapy and in-person speech services within a school environment
- Expertise in addressing a range of communication disorders and providing consultative support for IEP goals
- Skilled in compliance with evaluation and documentation standards
- Ability to engage students with mild to severe disabilities effectively
Position Details:
- Location: Reed Intermediate School, Newtown, CT
- Contract Period: Approximately April 20, 2026, to June 15, 2027
- Weekly Hours: 32.5 hours (6.5 hours per day)
