Telehealth Speech Therapy in CA
A contract opportunity is available providing speech-language pathology services through teletherapy in an educational setting located in Olivehurst, CA. This role supports a diverse caseload of Pre-K through 6th-grade students, focusing on delivering virtual speech therapy within a well-equipped school environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech-language evaluations, annual reviews, and re-evaluations to assess student progress.
- Providing teletherapy speech services primarily using a VocoVision workstation.
- Collaborating with onsite support staff, including a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant available five days per week.
- Managing a caseload of approximately 78 students, including around 5 preschool children, with occasional involvement in preschool transitions.
- Completing Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, which are scheduled on Thursdays.
- Navigating and documenting services through SEIS or equivalent special education information systems.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist credentials with experience in teletherapy and telespeech models.
- Familiarity with conducting virtual assessments and providing speech services in a school setting.
- Experience using VocoVision or similar teletherapy workstations.
- Ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapy and adapted physical education staff who may share therapy spaces.
- SEIS platform knowledge is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills to manage timelines, caseloads, and required documentation.
