Telehealth Speech Therapy in TX
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in school-based services, located in San Antonio, TX. This position supports an elementary school setting from February 1 through April 30, requiring 25-30 hours per week. The role focuses on supervising an SLPA, managing the speech-related caseload, and facilitating Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings. Direct therapy and testing responsibilities are minimal or absent, as these are primarily covered by the SLPA.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervision of the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting the speech caseload
- Oversight and management of the speech-only portion of the caseload in the school setting
- Facilitation and active participation in ARD meetings to ensure compliance with state requirements and effective communication among stakeholders
- Collaboration with educators and school staff to support students' speech and language needs within the framework of Texas school regulations
Qualifications and experience:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist licensure is required
- Demonstrated experience working in Texas schools, including managing ARD meetings and processes
- Familiarity with school-based speech-language pathology and teletherapy service delivery models
- Knowledge of supervision protocols for SLPAs within educational settings
- Effective communication and organizational skills to manage documentation and caseload coordination
