A virtual role is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in teletherapy within a therapeutic public day school serving grades 812. This position involves providing targeted speech and language interventions to a small caseload of approximately two students, with the opportunity for hours to expand due to rolling admissions.

Students served typically present with emotional and learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, anxiety, and patterns of school refusal. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct speech and language therapy sessions via video, with in-room staff support
  • Addressing goals in articulation, expressive and receptive language, social communication, and fluency
  • Building rapport with high school students who may initially be slow to engage through virtual platforms
  • Coordinating regularly with teachers and clinical staff to ensure therapy aligns with classroom instruction
  • Monitoring progress, maintaining thorough documentation, and participating in team meetings
  • Collaborating with occupational therapists when applicable for coordinated student care

Desired qualifications consist of:

  • Massachusetts SLP licensure or eligibility for licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience in school-based settings, preferably with high school students
  • Ability to engage adolescents effectively through teletherapy and utilize interactive online materials
  • Familiarity working with students who have emotional and behavioral challenges

The position is fully virtual, with all clinical and technical support, including a dedicated platform and on-site staff assistance for students, provided. Compensation and scheduling details will be discussed during the interview process.

Interviews are scheduled for Thursday, November 5th, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. ET. Candidates who meet these qualifications and are interested in supporting this specialized population are encouraged to apply.

Compensation for this position ranges from $36.49 to $66.49. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
