Speech Teletherapy - CA
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services, located in Yuba City, CA. This role supports elementary students ranging from Pre-K through 6th grade, with a caseload focused on delivering virtual speech services using advanced teletherapy platforms.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech therapy services to a caseload of approximately 78 students, including about 5 preschool students
- Collaborating with an on-site Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) available five days a week for support
- Utilizing a VocoVision workstation within a shared but designated space primarily used for speech therapy, occasionally shared with occupational therapy (OT) and adapted physical education (APE)
- Conducting evaluations, annual reviews, re-evaluations, and managing IEP-related documentation efficiently, with support from another virtual SLP handling some assessments
- Participating in 12 preschool transition processes and attending the weekly IEP day on Thursdays
- Maintaining detailed records and familiarity with SEIS (Special Education Information System) preferred to support documentation accuracy and compliance
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience in teletherapy service delivery
- Knowledge and practical skills in telespeech platforms and remote therapy tools, including VocoVision
- Experience working in school-based settings with a strong understanding of early childhood through elementary age groups
- Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support staff
- Familiarity with school compliance requirements and special education laws
- Strong organizational and communication skills for managing caseload and documentation
