Speech Therapist in Turlock, CA
An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensed in California to provide comprehensive services to students in a K-12 school setting. This full-time contract position supports a student caseload of approximately 55 individuals ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade. Services include RTI, assessing, and delivering individualized support in accordance with IEPs. Candidates will work in various settings such as pull-out, push-in, and consultation models, with possible assignments across two school sites.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify speech and language needs
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to individual student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and specialists
- Support students across multiple classrooms including Autism and Special Day Classes (SDC) with mild to moderate disabilities
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
- Adapt interventions for diverse learner populations, including students in pre-formal and preschool intake programs
Qualifications:
- Valid California license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience working with Pre-K through middle school populations
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload of 55 students with varying speech and language needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with staff and families
- Flexibility to work across multiple school sites
