Virtual School Social Worker Opening | Illinois School Districts

Location: Remote Illinois Residents Only
Schedule: Full-Time | 20252026 School Year
Contract Type: 1099 | VocoVision

VocoVision, in partnership with Illinois school districts, is seeking a licensed School Social Worker to provide remote services for the 20252026 school year. This fully virtual role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting students emotional, behavioral, and academic well-being in a flexible, online setting.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide virtual individual and group counseling services
Conduct social-emotional assessments and contribute to evaluations
Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers via teleconferencing
Develop and implement IEP goals related to social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
Participate in IEP, eligibility, and student support team meetings remotely
Support school-wide SEL initiatives, MTSS, and crisis intervention as needed

Requirements:

Masters degree in Social Work
Valid Illinois PEL with School Social Worker endorsement
Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience
Strong understanding of Illinois special education laws and timelines
Proficiency with IEP platforms (Embrace or similar)
Comfortable with remote platforms and digital documentation
Reliable home internet and tech setup

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience delivering remote services
Experience with trauma-informed care and SEL practices
