Special Education Teacher in Roanoke Rapids, NC

This opportunity is for Special Education Teachers to provide essential support for students with exceptional needs in Halifax, NC. Four positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year, with hours set at 35 per week. These roles are fully onsite, covering elementary, middle, and high school levels within the school system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff to develop and implement IEPs
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in team meetings
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate varying abilities

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina state certification in Special Education (EC teaching qualifications)
• Experience working with students at elementary, middle, or high school levels preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite and contribute actively to the school community
