Virtual Special Education Teacher - OH

A remote Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the 20262027 academic year. This contract position supports K-8 students through telehealth services, delivering specialized instruction tailored to diverse learning needs.

Location: Akron, OH
Contract Duration: August 2026 June 2027
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Deliver instruction and support via telehealth platforms, ensuring student engagement and progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
• Monitor and document student progress in alignment with education standards
• Maintain compliance with state and federal education regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Hold an Ohio K-12 Intervention Specialist (IS) teaching license
• Experience working with K-8 age group students in a special education setting
• Proficient in delivering instruction through telehealth technology
• Strong communication and organizational skills for managing caseloads effectively
