Special Education Teacher Online | Michigan

Three Special Education Teacher positions are available for the upcoming school year, focused on high school level resource roles in Detroit, MI. These full-time contract opportunities require dedicated professionals to support students with special needs, serving caseloads of approximately 17-20 students each. Two positions are located at one high school campus, while the third is based at a separate location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to high school students with special education needs
• Develop and implement tailored educational plans and resource interventions
• Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff to enhance student learning experiences
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with families and administrators

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with high school students in special education settings
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and resource room protocols
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to engage and support students with diverse learning challenges

Location: Detroit, Michigan assignments at two separate high schools

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday for the entire school year
