Special Education Teacher Work From Home - Illinois

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to provide in-person support in Elk Grove Village/Arlington Heights, IL. This contract position is part-time, requiring availability two days per week from ASAP through May. The role is designed to serve students with special needs, working directly within the school environment.

Key responsibilities include delivering tailored educational instruction to students with disabilities, collaborating with other educators and service providers to develop individualized learning plans, and maintaining accurate documentation of student progress. The position demands adaptability to meet various learning needs and the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom setting.

Qualifications and experience:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
• Prior experience teaching special education students.
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education laws.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a school setting and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
