Virtual Special Education Teacher - AL

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to provide specialized instruction for K-3 students within a school setting. This contract role focuses on delivering telehealth and in-person services tailored to meet individual student needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for nine students on the caseload
• Managing six self-contained students with intensive support requirements
• Providing pull-out services to three students to address specific learning goals
• Collaborating with a paraeducator to facilitate classroom and therapy activities
• Utilizing telehealth methods to deliver instruction and support when necessary
• Maintaining accurate records and progress monitoring aligned with educational standards

Desired qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with K-3 students in special education settings
• Ability to deliver telehealth services effectively
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs and behavior support plans

Location: Fairfield, AL
Schedule: Full-time, contract position
Caseload: 9 students including self-contained and pull-out services
Support: 1 paraeducator assigned
