Online Special Education Teacher in GA
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide telehealth services for a hospital homebound student. This contract position requires expertise in delivering adaptive curriculum within a virtual learning environment to support the students educational needs effectively.
Location: Jesup, GA
Contract Duration: March 16, 2026 June 3, 2026
Hours: 3 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction virtually to a hospital homebound student
- Implement adaptive curriculum strategies aligned with the students Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and school personnel to ensure continuity of educational services
- Maintain compliance with all state and district educational standards for special education
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GAPSC) Certification or License in Special Education
- Certification or demonstrated proficiency in Adaptive Curriculum
- Experience working with special education students in a telehealth or virtual setting highly preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to navigate and utilize virtual teaching platforms efficiently
