Special Education Teacher Online | Illinois

This contract position offers a unique opportunity to deliver specialized educational support through telehealth services, focusing on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in early elementary grades.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized special education instruction tailored to K-3 students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Developing and implementing telehealth-based lesson plans and interventions to support student learning and developmental goals.
• Collaborating with families, educators, and related service providers to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines.
• Participating in professional development activities to enhance instructional strategies and stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Professional Educator's License (PEL) for Illinois schools, issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
• Experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum in early elementary grades.
• Knowledge of telehealth technology and remote instructional delivery methods.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

This role is based in Joliet, IL, with a commitment of 35 hours per week during the 2026-2027 school year.
